I have documented previously that the Linux network manager can be used to connect to several different VPN gateways. \u00a0There are several network manager plugins available for the different VPN solutions. \u00a0The pptp<\/strong> plugin is used frequently but for newer Cisco gateways you should use the\u00a0network-manager-openconnect<\/strong>-gnome plugin. You should use the network-manager-vpnc<\/strong> plugin to connect to older Cisco gateways.<\/p>\n The vpnc<\/strong> plugin also happens to work for Palo Alto GlobalProtect concentrators. \u00a0For the vpnc plugin to work with Palo Alto GlobalProtect gateways you need to:<\/p>\n - Enable\u00a0X-Auth<\/strong> on your VPN gateway.
